Composition
For this photograph that Josh Caudwell has taken I would say that it is rather very impressive. It looks very sleek, clean, neat and tidy. He has a unique style to the way he performs and produces his work/art. For the photograph I can clearly see the visible focus points and main eye-catchers, Josh Caudwell could do this to create a sense of pleasant cleanliness which is really great and efficient for perfume shots and advertisements specifically. In the foreground you can see a faint reflection which can cause the eyes of the viewer avert to the reflection and noticing it, However it is not a very big detail which is good because it should not be the main point of attraction. The perfume bottle is not in the far ground or foreground, it is proportionately in the middle of both. This good because the perfume is centered in the middle and not off-centered, causing a distraction. Josh has also created the effect of many clean leading lines. The leading lines make everything look really put together and precise. The leading lines really attract viewers attention, leading lines are great to make the center of attention. Josh Caudwell uses many composition techniques, for example The Rule of Thirds

I think that this is the best image from this gallery because there is a balanced amount of light coming in and there is a sort of halo effect behind the perfume bottle to give it like hex circled glow around it. The lighting on the sides is also just right, not letting any unnecessary light leak through.
|
I think that this is the worst image from this gallery because the lighting is just too dark and there is no sort of lighting hitting from the front or the sides either to give it a spotlight effect.

I think that this is the best image from this gallery because The lighting is right, giving a dark and contrasted look. The light from the front to back also gives a little ombre effect on the red to dark red going up. The lighting also behind the the perfume bottle setting a ring/halo around the bottle to make it the center of attention the eye catcher of the image.

I think that this is the worst image from this gallery because of the clip on the right hand side of the image that was accidentally caught in frame. However, the image is still great overall and this mistake can easily be corrected in photoshop with a correction or healing tool.
